In January 2010, Partner Meryl Morgan and
Recoveries Executive Hayley Davies, joined 'Welsh Women Walking' to scale Kilimanjaro, reaching Uruhu Peak, at the breath-taking height of 5,895m.

The 'Welsh Women Walking ' team is made up of 15 members and has raised a staggering £85,000 for the two chosen charities - Ty Hafan & Breast Cancer Care Cymru.

Meryl says: "The climb took eight days to complete, allowing for an extra acclimatisation day which helped us to cope with the high altitude. Our days were long, walking or scrambling up steep sections of the mountain but by far the most gruelling part was the ascent to summit which took us 9 1/2 hours to reach in freezing conditions. Seeing the sunrise on our way to the summit helped."
